Jeffrey Lucia joins
Software Concepts International’s team of Rdb Experts

August 25, 2011 – Software Concepts International, LLC (SCI), a managed services and IT consulting company that specializes in OpenVMS, Oracle Rdb and DBMS, is pleased to announce the addition of Jeffrey Lucia to our team of OpenVMS, Rdb and DBMS experts to assist with supporting SCI’s growing Remote DBA and VMS System Management Services.

Jeff joins us from Productivity Tools, Inc. where, for the past 16 years, he has provided Oracle Rdb Database Administration consulting services to companies world wide -- including Oracle Corporation, Shanghai, where he provided onsite Oracle Rdb database support for the Shanghai Stock Exchange; PacifiCare Health Systems providing support for over 30 large Oracle Rdb production databases across several clusters in multiple data centers; and Boeing Corporation providing VMS System and Oracle Rdb database support.

Originally from Plattsburgh, NY, Jeff graduated from the State University of New York at Potsdam with a BA in Computer Science. He began his career in 1978 as a Programmer/Analyst working with various manufacturing applications. In 1984 he began working as Project Lead and DBA to develop an inventory system to integrate with an Oracle CODASYL DBMS database. Finding his niche with Oracle Rdb, over the next 10 years he worked as DBA and Analyst for several large companies throughout Florida. Recognizing a need for Oracle Rdb DBA’s, in 1995 Jeff started his own consulting firm where he had been providing Oracle Rdb Database Administration services and OpenVMS system support for the past 16 years.

Throughout his career, Jeff has functioned as a DBA, system support engineer and an application developer. Jeff is an accomplished DBA with years of hands-on Rdb and VMS experience. We are excited to have someone as talented and experienced as Jeff join our team.
