The
Active Stall Monitor option for Remote DBA, automatically detects
long database stalls and takes appropriate action.
With the Active Stall Monitor, you are in control of
database locks – you determine how long of a stall is considered
"too long", and what action is to be performed
Anything is possible with this technology -
alerting support personnel of the problem, identifying and reporting the
resources involved in the lock conflict, or automatic lock resolution
(selectively terminating the offending process).
