What are the latest
versions of Rdb and DBMS and how do I get a copy of them?

The latest
release of Rdb is V7.0.9
(for Rdb 7.0), V7.1.5.2.1
(for Rdb 7.1) and V7.2.2.0.1 (for Rdb 7.2). The latest release of DBMS is V7.0.7
(for DBMS 7.0), V7.1.3.1
(for DBMS 7.1) and V7.2.2 (for DBMS 7.2). You must order the software media directly from
Oracle. They are now shipped as part of the "Rdb Family of
Products CD-PACK". You may also be able to download these
releases from Oracle's Metalink web site.
When ordering DBMS, be VERY insistent that this is not Oracle 8i or 9i; the key phrase is, "CODASYL DBMS V7.1.0.2 this is NOT ORACLE-7 or ORACLE 8i, it is part of the Rdb/VMS family of products." The same caution goes for Rdb. |
