2008– Software Concepts International, LLC (SCI), a managed services and
IT consulting company that specializes in OpenVMS, Oracle Rdb and DBMS,
is excited to announce that we have added Mark Stiles to our team of
experts to assist with supporting and growing SCI’s Remote Managed
Services for OpenVMS division.
Mark
comes to SCI from Hewlett-Packard’s OpenVMS Engineering group where for
the last 20+ years he has played key rolls in developing and enhancing
many critical OpenVMS areas including the distributed lock manager,
cluster and systems communications services, disk class driver, disk
shadowing, clusterwide logical names and cluster satellite operations.
Throughout his career, Mark has functioned as a VMS systems manager,
application developer and operating system developer. He brings to SCI
significant expertise in cluster management, systems debugging,
performance optimization, modeling and testing. He also worked as the
OpenVMS liaison with the MSCP and TMSCP storage architecture committees.
Mark
graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in
Civil Engineering. He began his VMS career in 1979 as a System Manger at
MIT overseeing their VMS timesharing facility. In 1981 he began working
for Digital as a member of the VAXworks group as a VAX/VMS Software
Support Specialist where he became a worldwide corporate educator for
VMS internals.
Mark is
an accomplished Software Engineer with years of hands-on VMS experience.
We are excited to have someone as talented and experienced as Mark join
our team.
