SCI's DFU for OpenVMS

Enhanced Disk, Directory and File Management tools for OpenVMS

DFU (Disk/File Utilities)

Version: 3.5        Build Date: June 3, 2024
Operating System: OpenVMS Alpha, OpenVMS Integrity, OpenVMS x86-64

DFU (Disk / File Utilities) is a tool developed to help manage disk, directory and files on the OpenVMS operating system. The usage of low-level VMS-I/O features have resulted in a powerful and high-performance utility. DFU provides many features which are not available with standard DCL commands.

DFU supports all types of disk sets which comply to the OpenVMS ODS-2 and ODS-5 standard, such as volume sets, stripe sets, shadow sets, RAID sets, and combinations thereof.

Originally developed by Ton Dorland and later supported by Jur van der Burg, Software Concepts International has taken over maintenance and development of this important utility for the benefit of the OpenVMS community.

The current release is V3.5, release notes are available here.  Earlier releases may be available here.
