OpenVMS V9.2 for x86
Software Concepts International (SCI) is excited to share that VMS Software Incorporated (VSI) has released the production version of OpenVMS and layered products for the industry standard X86-64 architecture. Running on VMware, KVM, and VirtualBox, this release allows customers to protect their investment in OpenVMS by providing a path forward into the future using contemporary server technologies.
SCI has extensive experience with OpenVMS on X86. We were the first external test site and immediately began porting applications to x86. According to VSI’s published roadmap, many updates are coming including V9.2-1 in Q4/22 with cloud platform support for Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
